Getting Started with Brand Trust

This guide introduces the Brand Trust API for brand protection and domain impersonation monitoring.

Prerequisites

• A Red Sift account with Brand Trust enabled
• An API key — see Authentication for how to create one and choose a region

Overview

Brand Trust continuously scans the internet for domains that impersonate your brand. The API lets you programmatically:

• Manage logos — upload, validate, and manage brand logos used for visual lookalike detection
• Manage brands — add and remove brands for social media monitoring
• Monitor domains — add domains for monitoring and track their security status, reputation, and classification
• Search lookalikes — search and retrieve lookalike domain detections across risk categories (unclassified, low-risk, and high-risk), including AI analysis and screenshot data
